We are currently conducting projects that examine how men and women differ in their response to stress in a variety of domains that are encountered in everyday life. One such project is focused on the differences in conversational style, emotion language and stress response between face-to-face interactions and interactions via electronic media.

Current Project: We are investigating how competitive or cooperative activities, such as video games, influence the stress response. Questions of interest are whether the stress response differs when playing with a friend or a stranger, and whether there are gender differences in these responses.
